And,’ she added musingly, ‘the thing that irks me most is this shattered prison, after all. I’m tired, tired of being enclosed here. Dear Amy,
I don’t know if you visit me anymore. I still relish hearing your singing voice and looking about your blog from time to time. Nice quote from Bronte. Lately I’ve been adding lots of literature to my new Kindle. (I was an Eng Lit major back in college so long ago.I’m itching to read your review of Les Miz. But haven’t seen the film yet. I’m prepared to be blown away. I wasn’t impressed that much with the film version of Chicago a few years ago, but the music is always wonderful to hear. I’m possibly the planet’s biggest musical junkie (watched Sound of Music (movie from 1965)) on my bigscreen in Hi Def on a new transfer and fell in love with Julie Andrews all over again. (How I wish she and Richard Burton had been cast in the film version of Camelot. Sigh.)Happy New Year.Michael F. Nyiri, poet, philosopher, fool
