Basically, I met and started dating a really wonderful lawyer. He's got a beautiful heart and loves God...is kind, friendly, sensitive, thoughtful, caring...etc. He's really tall (6'7") and doesn't live super close, but it's ok. I'm trusting God on this one. We've had a lot of fun. I'll talk more about it later, after I come down from whirlwind mode (I tend to write a lot less when I'm like that). Basically, today I realized yet again how much being an introvert really matters, and listening to my body/mind/spirit...I have not had a night of alone time for 2 weeks straight and I had to just come home and recharge here today instead of watching the Cowboys game with him. Whew...but I'm glad I did. So I thought I'd update you guys. :) Pray for us, Christians. Attempting to date in a manner honoring God inside of this fallen world is like swimming upstream while dodging a mine field, but it can be done.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.Philippians 4:7

Congrats, Amy! I know the struggles you speak of at the end of the entry, and I'll be praying for you, too. If he's a lawyer, does he ever say, "Objection!" out of force of habit?
The best thing is to take it at a speed that is best for both of you... if it is meant to be it will happen in the time it should happen. (Sometimes it is quick, sometimes years of dating, but the lord will handle it his way.)
