  • Mute button

Do you ever want to push the mute button on yourself and everyone else?

Right now, that’s how I feel.  For several weeks.  I have plenty to say, but I’m so angry.  People like to make it about them and not what I’m saying.  I’m so sick of politics and getting old.  Why can’t people just do and think with common sense?

I have plenty to say, but I lack the energy to say it .

  • I know this feeling, hitting the mute button for everyone else. I guess everyone has those days, though.

  • @xdeelynnx - Hello. I would love to see a day in America where all noise making, phone clutter, foolish non sense — just cannot shut up people would give it a rest, and all but emergency calls would get through, of course, but for people to say, “Now what did Santa give you for Christmas!” “Oh, he did not like the plaid shirt with the sleeves which were sewn on backwards; “Sorry, Iy  could not figue out how the heck it made a difference; “Wait, By danged; I said,Wait” “Your not bothering us; We’re just sucking down dinner,–Chomp, chomp, chomp,” and I have to know whidh color of purse you’ll be carrying?  “Make sure you wee wee before we go, for you know that grape sized bladder of your’s will stretch, and then you will fell as if you wet those new pants from Grand Ma,” “You do not mean your low or dorritos?”

Just to stand in a forest and to see a pine tree shaking its arms like a happy child; An thing would help.

  • I replied to a great Xanga gal–Barbara.

I learned early in life–as a child, that I irritated people, especially when I shared an idea. I learned (defensively) to simply think about what I wanted to do and do it unannounced. I saw that most of my ideas worked, and those that did not were a source of education.

I know you think about things, study the issues, have a strong Christian faith, and like to share your feelings about things.

However, the volatility here and the vitriolic atmosphere make it hard to have a discussion here.

As you know, I stay away from the controversial issues here–once in awhile I will respond to a post and always get shot down. lol Besides, I don’t really know the facts about things, so I could be wrong.

Anyway, sorry you are kind of frustrated with this.

  • My wife has a built-in mute button for me.  I appreciate it too, or she’d hit me in the head with the remote.

  • I have felt off and o n all week like that and it is frustrating

  • A mute button would be nice, especially for certain family members…..and the neighbors dog!
