Swan Dive
When he finally arrived, she was tired of waiting.
“Edward!” she exclaimed, not trying to hide the indigence in her voice. ”Where have you been? I’ve grown so tired of waiting. I don’t think I can bear the years I’ve spent in sadness.”His eyes beheld her tears, and he answered with trembling honestly.“It was very far. I ran the whole way, and I didn’t know what you looked like.But my heart did.“

Sometimes the waiting is worth it all.
Aww
She’s lucky. At last he got there eventually….
@Parker_Texas - Yes she is. I hope mine is right down the block on the last leg. Or at least somewhere not eaten by wolves.
I would.
@loner_writer - What would you?
Do that
@NightCometh - I think he means he would run the whole way
@loner_writer - & if that’s what you mean, why then, my compliments, kudos, & accolades, sir. But, alas, I’ve found it to be true, esp. in my own life, I often fail to live up to my noble assertions.
@wrybreadspread - Ja, ja, this is what I meant. I’ve actually tried it a couple times already, though admittedly it wasn’t really running
. I realize now it has to be pretty fantastic to be worth the travel.
Nice little post and I love the rain too. It always cleanses my soul of any dirt that may have gotten on it.
