RIP Caleb
The boy who played my little brother (Winthrop) in the Music Man a few years back has died suddenly. He was 13 and had a heart attack on the way to rehearsal. His dad was driving him, and his mom was home cooking Thanksgiving dinner.
I’m bummed, not as much as his family, but bummed nonetheless. If you could say a prayer for them, that would be great.

Will do.
Wow! That’s tough, and at a tough time of year. I can’t imagine. I’ll pray for them.
I’m so sorry.
I will definitely say a prayer for them.
Sorry to hear about this. Prayers go out to the family. Hugs.
Prayers. It will be okay. We had five empty chairs at Thanksgiving dinner. Four from last fall/winter.
Smile, it’s all good.
@Billy_Austin714 - Thanks. Sorry about your losses.
I don’t think “Smile. It’s all good” is really appropriate right now.
I know it is not. That is me smiling by the way, not telling you to. And I keep telling myself it’s all good even when it ain’t. I have to in able to keep pushing on when looking into the empty eyes of my loved ones.
I offer my deepest , sincerest sympathies.
@Billy_Austin714 - Thanks. I wasn’t trying to chew you out. I’m just sad right now even though I know he’s in heaven.
@NightCometh -
I understand and apologize. I could have been more gracious since we aren’t well aquanted. I am sad also.
Oh my gosh! How horrible!! Saying a prayer right now!
@CuddlyKat – thank you. We are all pretty shocked.
*a solemn nod*
Prayers will be plentiful in this household.
I sure will…death comes like a thief in the night sometimes…and it is emotionally painful each and everytime especially when it involves some one so young.
One of the things that has comforted me throughout the years as I have pastored and been a chaplain is the fact of just how much God loves each of us, whether we are 13 minutes old or 13 years old or 93 years old. We sometimes forget just how much he does value life, he gave us his Son so we might have it to the fullest. He willingly allowed his own self to die in our place. It is an awesome thing to contemplate.
Is is extremely tough when it is someone we know who is young, vibrant, and loved… we will be in prayer for the family and you.
@Billy_Austin714 - I think I dig, my brother. Sometimes, the bottom drops out & we get slammed. Most of us, the conventional types, grieve in a conventional manner. But for some of us, the unconventional types, the only way to cope & keep a handle on rationality is to get a little…irrational. & hope that people will understand. I hope, wish, & pray for consolation for you & your family.
@NightCometh -
& for you also, who lost a budding peer dramatist, & his family, I hope, wish, & pray for grief to be assuaged.
I am praying for you and his family right now. God bless you.
